Venue and Accommodation

The conference aims to bring the ESO and SKA communities together around common science interests, disseminate knowledge of the capabilities of these facilities, initiate discussions on coordinated observational studies, and facilitate interactions between observers and theorists across different redshift/wavelength domains.

To maximize interaction, the meeting will take place at Abbey Beach Resort with all participants staying on site at the beach front resort. The dates are at the beginning of Australian summer and will be ideal for spotting dolphin and other Australian wildlife. The location is near the famous Margret River Wine Region, south of Perth in Western Australia. We will limit the meeting size to 100-120 participants, but we will ensure a range of career stages involved.

Our hope is that this meeting can begin, or strengthen, collaborations that will be critical in the upcoming era of SKA and large optical telescopes.

Room payment: There will be a conference discount code that we will share with registered participants.

Funding Support: We are happy to say that we will be offering travel support for some people. These will be decided based on needs. Total funding per person will depend on the amount of requests. We will allow you to make funding requests at the registration stage (after the program is decided).

Travel Info:
The best option is to fly to Busselton Airport and travel to the venue by taxi. If that is not practical, and enough need exists, we will charter shuttle buses from Perth Airport to the venue on Sunday and Friday of the meeting. More travel info will be available closer to the event.
